Piece for Foodism | Time to Shine, the Cape Winelands, South Africa

During my three months travelling eastern and southern Africa, I was lucky enough to visit the Cape Winelands in South Africa. This stunning region allowed us to visit all sorts of incredible hotels and restaurants such as Babylonstoren, the Leeu Estates and the Jordan Wine Estate. And the time I spent there was of course, jam-packed with sampling the Cape Winelands region’s food and wine.

I wrote about my experiences in Foodism magazine, with an emphasis on the amazing garden tours at Babylonstoren and farm-to-table dining at Babel; the wine-tasting and dining at the Leeu Estates and the innovative food experiences you can experience across the region. If you ever get to visit, you’ll find everything from wine safaris and trendy farmers markets to casual eats at Tuk Tuk and exquisite high-end dining at Delaire Graff. Located just an hour’s drive away from Cape Town, a few days in the Cape Winelands is a must if you’re ever travelling to South Africa.
