If you’ve been following the blog recently, you’ll know that I enjoyed a weekend at the EAST Miami Hotel in the USA (read full review here). This five-star hotel situated in Brickell, Miami lies within the second largest financial district in the USA. So it’s very much geared to the business traveller, but it also has plenty to offer the leisure traveller too.
You may not think to stay in Downtown Miami if you’re visiting the city for the first time. But thanks to a burgeoning nightlife scene and the rise of upscale hotels like EAST Miami, travellers are now looking beyond the palm-lined streets of Miami Beach – it seems Downtown Miami is the place to be.
One of the draws of this part of town is the Brickell City Centre development which is essentially a very stylish shopping complex comprising high-end shops such as Saks Fifth Avenue, a WeWork office space, salons and smart restaurants. By building the EAST Miami Hotel right inside this lifestyle development, it means that the hotel receives the footfall of people visiting Brickell for both business and leisure and you have a great selection of retail and entertainment right on your doorstep.
A big talking point about East Miami is Sugar, the rooftop bar, which US Conde Nast Traveler named one of the top 10 rooftop bars in the States (read about Sugar here).
What else makes EAST Miami so special and why should you consider it when booking a sunshine break to the Magic City? This piece I wrote on the Weather2Travel website reveals all about this stylish hotel, from the gym facilities to the type of experience you can expect at the restaurant, Quinto La Huella. Head over to Weather2Travel to read the EAST Miami hotel review in full.
