There’s always one wedding gown that stands out during a bridal catwalk show. Whether it be an unusual colour, an eye-catching fabric, or avant-garde design, there’s no doubt that when it floats down the catwalk, iphones will be raised, heads will turn and cameras will start flashing. One of those dresses during the Jenny Packham catwalk show was definitely Poa.
Poa is a long flowing silky gown in a bold botanical print that completely stood out for its stunning splashes of pinks, greens, purples and reds. And with blousy blooms in her hair to match the print, the model fitted perfectly into the ‘secret garden’ catwalk setting.
Would you wear this dress to your wedding? You’d have to be confident, bold and ready to make a statement to do so. During her interview, designer Jenny Packham explained that the tradition of a white wedding dress will never disappear. But she also explained that bridal will always evolve to fit in with trends of the time and this gorgeous gown confirms that.
In an age where brides don’t have to be limited to tradition, Poa certainly makes an impact. It’s romantic yet elegant, adventurous yet pretty. And I imagine you can only wear a smile with a dress that’s this fun.
What do you think? Would you go against tradition and wear a dress as colourful as Poa? Let me know. I’d love to hear your thoughts…
