It’s the last day of Wimbledon and we’ve reason to celebrate because Andy Murray is in the Men’s Final – hoorah! To celebrate, here are some cocktails inspired by Britain’s Greatest Tennis Tournament – from some of London’s best cocktails bars as well as some DIY cocktails you can make at home..
So sit back, take a sip and enjoy Wimbledon’s most exciting weekend!
By Jewel bar, Piccadilly Circus – www.jewelpiccadilly.co.uk
50ml Bacardi Superior rum
A sprig of mint
20ml lime juice
25ml ½ and ½ (which is a mixture of equal measures of single cream and milk)
4 strawberries, halved
20ml sugar syrup
Indulgently icy with a creamy finish – this is the one for those who skipped pudding and went straight on to the cocktails. Drop your strawberries into the bottom of the glass and muddle them to get out the juice. Then bruise the mint and put it in the glass with the rum and the half and half too, add your lime juice and sugar syrup, get some crushed ice in and give it a stir. Add a little more crushed ice and serve.
