Gabriel’s Wharf on London’s South Bank has hosted their Summer Party this weekend. There’e been live music, belly dancing, tarot card reading and all sorts of activities going on.
I couldn’t make it this year. But I did take a stroll down Gabriel’s Wharf on Thursday evening and it reminded me what an amazing spot Southbank is. Whether it’s their Christmas markets, street food or live street acts, this is one spot in London which will always attract the crowds. I also think the river is one of the best London spots for a romantic stroll.
There’s loads going on in Southbank at the moment. Have you seen the current #HerbFest going on there? As part of Southbanks Festival of Neighbourhood, there are lots of temporary greenhouses, mini wheelbarrows and platforms where you’ll find all sorts of herbacious displays going on.
Southbank is also full of pop-up food stands and outdoor bars at this time of year.
After a refreshing pimms outside the Festival Theatre, we took a stroll along the river and popped by Gabriel’s Wharf where we perused the cute gift shops and checked out some quirky wood carvings, before grabbing dinner a bit further down the river.
Here are a few snaps I took. If like me, you didn’t make it to Gabriel’s Wharf summer party this weekend, it might inspire you to pop down there one sunny evening, grab a Pimms and soak up the Southbank atmosphere.
Until next time x
