FYI – This event is now over and the competition is closed.
I’m always looking for ways to lighten my luggage when I travel. I drive BC crazy with my tendency to pretty much always over-pack. For a one night stay, I’ll usually pack enough clothes to last me a weekend. For weekends away, I’ll pack enough for four or five days. Don’t even get me started on long-haul trips.
So when I was invited to review the new Kobo Aura H20 edition 2 eReader, I thought it would be a great way to help me travel light next time I’m heading off on my travels. Kobo are currently hosting a Kobo #BeachBookReady Pop-up Beach in central London. And each day until 26th July, the Kobo holiday dream team will be giving away the new Kobo Aura H20 device plus summer goody bags to lucky winners of their #BeachBookReady social media competition.
The #BeachBookReady Pop-up Beach
To enter, all you have to do is take a selfie with the new device at the pop-up and share amongst your Twitter or Instagram followers using the #BeachBookReady hashtag. As I say, the event is in the West End on Smart Street (just off Oxford Street) and it’s free to attend. So if you live or work in London, why not pop down there in your lunch break and see if you can win one of these brilliant devices?
The Kobo Aura H20: Everything you need to know
The Kobo Aura H20 is the newest addition to the Rakuten Kobo range. And not only is it super light at 210g, it also has an anti-glare E-Ink display which makes it suitable for reading in bright sunshine. The ComfortLight PRO feature also means you can read it in bed without fear of any blue-light exposure affecting your natural sleep.
It provides a customizable reading experience with 11 font styles, 50 font sizes and options to control the sharpness, colour temperature and lighting. But what’s perhaps the most exciting feature of the Kobo Aura H20 eReader is, it’s totally waterproof. Which means it’s perfect for reading in the bath, using poolside on holiday or taking to the beach.
I’m told it has a really efficient battery which can last for weeks without recharging (perfect if you forget to pack the attachments) and you can access more than 6,000 eBooks via the Kobo eBookstore.
There are loads of other features which I will report back on when I review the device over the next few months.
But until then, check out the Kobo #BeachBookReady Pop-up Beach in London this week and let me know if you win!
The new Kobo Aura H20 is available in black and retails for £149.99. Find out more about the BeachBookReady Pop-up Beach event here on Eventbrite and find out more about the device on the Kobo website. You can follow them on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest.
