I take my girls to Cheval Three Quays for a cool and classy Bachelorette Party. These luxe serviced apartments are so gorgeous, I don’t want to leave…
When I was recently planning my hen party (which I tactically named my girls’ weekend) I wanted us to stay somewhere in London that was classy, spacious, luxurious and oozed the London ‘wow factor’.
Cheval Three Quays of the serviced apartment group The Cheval Residences had all of this in spades. Located just by the historic Tower of London, these luxury riverside apartments won me over immediately.
The building itself is a five minute walk away from Tower Hill underground station (around 10 minutes from Monument) and has some of the most spectacular London landmarks within sight. Once you step into the building, there’s a warm welcome from the staff in the ever so chic reception. And it makes quite the impression with its contemporary decor, twinkling feature lighting and water features.
The staff here make a remarkable effort to ensure you have all the refreshments you need as you arrive. On the day we checked in, they had very willingly made sure we had 18 champagne flutes available for a pre-dinner glass of fizz. They then kindly assisted in taking our luggage to our rooms.
Once inside the apartments, you are presented with an absolutely gorgeous living space that has that home-from-home feel. Think cool muted interiors with subtle pops of colour, a comfy L-shaped sofa, a sleek breakfast bar and spotless bedrooms and bathrooms where you can indulge in luxury Hermes bath products.
Our apartments also boasted all the mod cons (dishwasher, oven, fridge, washing machine, iron) and had plenty of personal touches, such as a recipe book bookmarked with the ‘recipe of the week’ and a pair of binoculars for you to admire the spectacular views over the Thames.
With a concierge service just a phone call away, you could easily spend a week here when you’re in London on business. It would also make for a fantastic romantic city break, pre-wedding stopover or indeed, a luxe city mini-moon. This weekend, I was with some of the people I most love, my best girlies. And we were so excited to be spending the night in such a gorgeous abode.
We actually had two apartments – a one bedroom apartment which had a neat little kitchen which you could pull a screen over plus a two-bedroom apartment complete with one en-suite shower room and one separate bathroom where there was a separate bath and shower.
The two-bedroom apartment really had the wow factor I was looking for. Especially when we pulled back the curtains to find a river view balcony with these incredible views over Tower Bridge. We couldn’t stop snapping photos as the bridge turned into a bright blue beacon at night. I felt like the luckiest ‘bride-to-be’ and couldn’t think of a more perfect place to celebrate with my girls.
That evening, we headed out for dinner and drinks but coming back to such a luxurious and comfortable aparment was bliss. The beds were incredibly comfortable with beautiful white bedding and the squashiest pillows (I need to find out where these come from). Much to our delight, we had a tray of Abel & Cole snacks and breakfast essentials of juice, granola, fruit, tea and bread to make the ‘morning after’ a little less painful. There was also a Nespresso machine complete with coffee capsules and milk in the fridge for those who needed a caffeine boost.
From the seamless service and friendly staff to the simply gorgeous interiors and setting, Cheval Three Quays is a gorgeous place to stay in London. The only thing wrong? One night just wasn’t long enough. These apartments are so beautiful, you just won’t want to leave.
